About Me
Welcome, my name is Csaba Farago, and as you may have seen in my profile I live my life as an openly gay man who also owns his positive HIV status. It had taken me a lot of work emotionally to be able to do that, and I have learnt a great deal in the process while dealing with heavy traumas and near-death experiences. I was put to the ultimate test with HIV, so I could build a truly solid self-esteem, one that cannot be knocked down by any outside negativity like a castle of cards, and in that time the desire to offer the kind of support to others, that I so badly would have needed when I was struggling, for instance, with coming out as a gay or getting diagnosed with HIV became stronger and stronger. A place where in a completely taboo and judgment-free space a gay person can talk openly about absolutely anything, that weighs on their heart, or they seek guidance for.
Personal relatibilty
I have sat in front of many heterosexual therapists in my life, feeling unable to share what was happening in my life and inside me, not knowing where to even begin. Some of the things we gay people go through can be shocking or unrelatable for an untrained ear, and it’s always easier to share things with someone when you know they are in the same boat as you, and can personally relate. As someone who has dated both men and women, and lived in America and Germany, and has traveled halfway around the world, coming across numerous cultures, I have gained a globally wide outlook on what it entails to be gay these days in our modern society, and I can offer a lot of perspectives. Add getting an HIV diagnosis on top, and all the challenges it comes with, and after decades of preparation I’m here to offer the support, that could have made my life so much easier before.

Having been judged for many things in my life, I understand how important it is to have a safe place where we can be who we are without shame.
